Incredible spring weather has us maximizing time in our kitchen garden and outside with our kids and animals.

There is so much to do prepping the garden for the summer but we have gotten past the worst of it. Most beds are prepared and the seedlings are in the ground. Yesterday we harvested our first strawberry from the greenhouse for the season. The asparagus and rhubarb are also yielding lots of food already.

Several of our hens have begun brooding, on way more eggs than we can handle so we have had to prune a bit, but not long now until the yard is filled with the cheeping of baby chicks.

I am currently reading How Linux Works by Brian Ward and I am thoroughly enjoying it. It explains lots of details regarding systems I regularly use but have not given much thought before.
